Daisy summons a circle of crystals around her which knocks anyone near her up into the sky. It is hands down the easiest goal available in the game. Her special, Crystal Smash, is quite simply amazing. If executed correctly her serve it ins often cannot be blocked. Not only is serve it in very easy to execute with her chip, it is also a lot harder for the opponent to block. ![]() While this does not give her the self-pass ability, it DOES allow her to make serve it ins with ease. Nothing is more baffling than when you are expecting Daisy to teleport somewhere and she ends up in a completely different place.ĭaisy also possesses a very flat chip. A conscious effort is needed to create a good mind game out of her deke. This tool will not be of great use unless you are utilizing it. Daisy simply spins in preparation for her deke giving no hints as to where she is going to end up. The other difference is that Waluigi reveals the direction of his teleport by facing where he is going to end up. They both execute their teleports at pretty much the same speed, but Waluigi's is slightly faster, and this will often make the difference in a successful deke or not. She is a great defender, but she is not the omnipresent force that Waluigi is. One of her key flaws is that she simply does not have the defensive pressure that Waluigi has. This essentially allows her and ALL of her teammates to abuse home priority for easy goals or items. Daisy, on the other hand, can utilize her and Waluigi's dangerous play style on the home field. Waluigi's individual priority is great, but he cant play on the home field because of it. It is true that these captains have similar play styles, but Daisy has something Waluigi doesn't have: The home field. But, she does have some key differences that, if used properly, can be extremely deadly. She has the same stats as Waluigi, so, in many ways, she is simply a nerfed version of him. With this method, there's very little your opponent can do to reclaim the ball.Daisy is a defensive-speed captain. Now just pass it to the nearest teammate and repeat the process. Eventually, your opponent will attempt to run and steal the ball from you, but the moment they do, the goalie will tackle them and steal the ball back. Once you're in the lead, retreat to your goal box and push right up against the goalie (do this slowly, otherwise he'll grab the ball from you.) Now just wait. First the hard part: Make sure you're ahead of your opponent by at least one point, if not, using this tactic will be futile. This isn't so much an advanced skill as it is a tactic to all but guarantee your victory. Please use it against the computer only, as it's simply not fair, nor fun, to use against human opponents. Note: This tactic is powerful - perhaps too powerful. Please consult the character pages for these characters to find out how to score using dekes: While technically, the ball doesn't have to be powered up to score, it generally makes things much easier. Speaking of powering up dekes, several players can use this ability to easily score goals on the goalie, without even shooting the ball. For example, Dry Bone's usual Deke warps him a few feet in any direction, but if you perform it while the ball is glowing white, his distance triples! Score! Dekes Goals ![]() So remember, always press Z+A to intercept.Īlright, so you already know about Dekes and Power Charges, but did you know you can combine the two? Some player's Dekes, such as Boo and Dry Bones, actually improve depending on how charged up the ball is. *Holding the Z-trigger "locks" the character you're controlling, that way when you press "A" to pass, you won't end up switching teammates instead. Stand in the circle and press Z+A to intercept it, just like a ground pass. If you're intercepting a Lob Pass, a circle will appear on the ground indicating where the ball will land. ![]() This will cause your character to quickly steal the ball from the opponent, then pass it to another teammate. To intercept the ball, stand near the receiver and hold down the Z button*, then mash on the A button to pass. Since tackling an enemy who's not yet in possession of the ball will give your opponent an item, it's important to use interceptions whenever possible. Interceptions are a method of stealing the ball from the opponent while it's being passed from one to another, without Big Hitting. Forget about big hits - instead you should focus on interceptions.
